New Adventures

Attempting some new art forms. I am still painting Norwegian Rosemaling but every so often I like to expand myself and provide new challenges. I have always enjoyed drawing and painting watercolor animals, but I decided to try a new medium of acrylic. I thoroughly enjoyed it and can see myself continuing to paint various animals in acrylic. Hope you enjoy!

Latest Artwork

Good Afternoon,
It has been a few months since my last post but I thought I would update on my latest artwork. I haven't had as much time as I would like to paint with starting school again plus working full-time, but any chance I get I paint away. Below you will find  the two Norwegian style Dala horses. I completed these two to complement each other. Lastly, you will see a painting I just recently completed done in a rosemaling/folk art style. I wanted to keep with the fall color theme as well as add a country style. Enjoy! Also, please check out my shop link on Etsy!

Swedish Love Birds

Wedding season is coming up! Time to plan a head to find that gift that is unique and will surely be loved. I just completed this Swedish rosemaling design of two swedish love birds on a vintage wood plate. Would make a beautiful gift. I can also custom paint the individuals names onto the heart! Would also make a wonderful anniversary gift. You can purchase this plate here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/217189698/love-birds-norwegian-rosemaling-plate?ref=sr_gallery_1&ga_search_query=norwegian+love+birds&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery

Velkommen!

One of my favorite commissioned pieces. I love painting the Dala horses (I actually just love horses in general!). I included the traditional Norwegian Rosemaling as well as the Swedish designs.

Celtic-Norwegian?

Who would have thought the Celtic Irish designs and Norwegian Rosemaling would go together. I recently was commissioned to complete three 10" x 10" celtic/Norwegian rosemaling canvases. Below you will find the results. I had a lot of fun expanding my skills and trying a whole different art form.
